The weather had changed abruptly from 25 degrees to a low of 2 this morning although it had
warmed up to 8 by the time we went out to Hunters Race by the Centurion Way. Fortunately it was quite sunny which was pleasant provided you kept moving and out of the stiff breeze.

So many of the trees are in blossom at the moment, it’s quite a spectacle. Along the road leading to the Way there are several fine ornamental Cherry trees with their delicate pink blossom. Along the old railway track are many different trees, most a brilliant, bright white against the blue sky.

The flowers had not changed much along the pathway, the bluebells were still in good form together with some Primroses as can be seen in this snap.

The highlight was to see the Cowslips that now cover the earthworks at Hunters Race. They are known to like meadows and this one certainly suits them!
