Hopefully the good weather will dry out the paths and open up some other walks but for today it’s a last look at the wildfowl at Pagham. Arriving at the harbour there wasn’t much to see, most seem to have flown away. There was only a few Redshanks and a couple of Oystercatchers, very quiet.

Out to sea the onshore wind was driving some impressive waves that were crashing on the beach, an exhilarating place to walk. So much so that we carried on down into Selsey and back past the seaside homes made out of railway carriages. Well, they might have been once but now there’s just some traces of them left where they’ve been rebuilt leaving some parts as a feature as this snap shows.

Along this stretch the daisy’s have bloomed making a carpet of flowers over the grass; more here than
in other places nearby. Walking back through the fields this rape was well advanced, especially beside the footpath; good to see at least some crops doing well.
