After two reasonably good days there had to be another storm, winds of 60 knots are forecast for the next two days yet again. It’s Storm Jorge, named by the Spanish meteorological office so it doesn’t follow our naming convention or any other rules for that matter.

We went along Colner Creek to Bosham and back along the foreshore to see if there was anything going on. Unfortunately not much at all, it seems that much of the birdlife had sensed the imminent storm and found a safe spot inland.

There were a few wigeon about on the foreshore opposite the Wreck pecking away; naturally there were a few geese about too but not many. The waders were few and far between, I think I only saw one Curlew.

Unfortunately there’s lots of rubbish,  especially plastic, that’s been washed up to the top of the harbour, accumulating along the sea wall. It seems to be an inevitable part of life now, work parties clear it up often enough but it soon accumulates again.
